Beyond Anime Programme at Zipangu Festival

Experimental anime programme; ICA London screenings on November 19 and 23.

The second Zipangu Fest, which showcases avant garde Japanese cinema, has confirmed it will screen a programme of independent anime at London's ICA cinema next month. Beyond Anime: The Outer Limits will be shown twice, on Saturday November 19 at 4 p.m. and again on Wednesday November 23 at 8.45 p.m. Tickets are £10 (£8 for ICA members) and can booked at the link. The film line-up is as follows:

The films are due to start at the advertised time, with doors opening 15 minutes earlier.

As announced previously, the festival is also screening the work of Takashi Makino. Three of his films - Intimate Stars, Elements of Nothing and Enter Your Star - will be screened at the ICA in a programme entitled "Enter the Cosmos." It will be shown at 8.30 p.m on Satuday November 19.

Meanwhile, Makino's 18-minute film Still in Cosmos will be screened at Zipangu Fest's benefit night for the Japan disaster fund at Café Oto in Dalston on November 22nd.
