Crunchyroll to Simulcast Nisemonogatari Anime

Anime based on NisiOisin's light novel series to premiere on January 7

Crunchyroll announced on Tuesday that it will stream the Nisemonogatari anime series as it airs in Japan. The anime about the "Fire Sisters" Tsukihi and Karen Araragi, who also appeared in the earlier Bakemonogatari novel and anime, will premiere on January 7. (The original Nisemonogatari novel serves as a sequel to Bakemonogatari.) The show will begin streaming on Crunchyroll at 12:30 p.m. EST. It will be available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.

Akiyuki Shinbo (Bakemonogatari, Puella Magi Madoka Magica) is directing the anime at the anime studio SHAFT. Akio Watanabe (Bakemonogatari, The World God Only Knows) is adapting VOFAN's original character designs for animation. Eri Kitamura and Yuka Iguchi will star as Karen and Tsukihi, respectively. Chiwa Saito, Emiri Katō, Miyuki Sawashiro, Kana Hanazawa, Yui Horie, Hiroshi Kamiya will reprise their roles of Hitagi Senjougahara, Mayoi Hachikuji, Suruga Kanbaru, Nadeko Sengoku, Tsubasa Hanekawa, and Koyomi Araragi. The young female duo ClariS will sing the ending theme song "Naisho no Hanashi" (Secret Story) composed by supercell's Ryo.
