Madman Acquires Waiting in the Summer, Will Stream Online

Madman Entertainment to stream Waiting in the Summer (Ano Natsu de Matteru) weekly.

In its January newsletter, Madman Entertainment announced it has acquired new comedy anime Waiting in the Summer (Ano Natsu de Matteru), and will stream episodes weekly on its Screening Room website, with more details and a home release date to be announced.

The series, which began broadcasting in Japan last week, is a high school comedy series following a group of students creating a film during summer break. Produced by J.C. Staff, the anime reunites story creator Yousuke Kuroda and original character designer Taraku Uon, who previously collaborated on Onegai Teacher and Onegai Twins, and director Tatsuyuki Nagai and character designer Masayoshi Tanaka, who worked on anohana and Toradora!

Waiting in the Summer will join Madman's currently-streaming series My Ordinary Life, Steins;Gate, Deadman Wonderland and Last Exile -Fam, The Silver Wing-. Madman announced last year that it will also stream Persona 4 The Animation and Future Diary in 2012.
