The harem comedy-action series series Samurai Girls (pictured right) will be released on Monday January 30 by Kaze through Manga. According to a tweet by Manga UK, the series will be released as a three-disc DVD and also a two-disc Blu-ray.
The 12-part series is set in an alternate Japan where the Tokugawa shogunate never lost its power. Girls battle the mostly female members of the ruling student council faction, while a 16-year-old male student is caught in the middle. The BBFC has rated the series “18” for “strong sex and sexualised nudity.”
Manga is also releasing a single-set DVD edition of the 26-part present-day samurai series Nabari no Ou (15, pictured left), which it has previously released in two DVD volumes.
