Weekend Wrapup: 17/Jun - 23/Jun

In this week's slightly late Weekend Wrapup we have plenty of announcements and some legal proceedings;

This week Siren Visual announced that they will soon be releasing Black Rock Shooter TV in September on DVD. Additionally the Un-Go DVD release will be delayed due to the addition of the dub soundtrack.

Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump has green-lit a second season for the anime adaptation of Medaka Box . The first season was produced by Gainax with Shouji Saeka (Mahoromatic: Summer Special, This Ugly Yet Beautiful World, He Is My Master) directing and editing the series scripts and Ikuo Kuwana (Street Fighter Alpha: Generations) handled the character designs.

Earlier in the week Madman Entertainment announced the addition of four films to their Reel Anime lineup for 2012. This includes Mamoru Hosoda's Wolf Children, Makoto Shinkai's Children Who Chase Lost Voices, Studio Ghibli's From Up On Poppy Hill and the first part of the new Berserk film adaptations, Berserk: The Golden Age Arc - The Egg of the King.

As 4kids works through Bankruptcy proceedings, the latest paper filed reveals that Konami might receive the Yu-Gi-Oh! franchise in the deal. The proceedings are to split 4kids' assets between Saban's Kidsco Media Ventures and Konami's 4K Acquisition Corp with 4k Acquisition Corp to receive a variety of contracts for Yu-Gi-Oh!licence agreements, distribution contracts, foreign license rights and even the lease to 4Kids Entertainment's offices in New York City.
