Yuki Kodama's ominibus series follows human drama in a small provincial town

The December issue of Shogakukan's Cheese! magazine announced on Wednesday that manga creator Yuki Kodama will start her Tsukikage Baby (Moonlight Baby) series in the January 2013 issue of Monthly Flowers manga magazine on November 28.

The omnibus series is set in a small provincial town that has maintained the traditional ways of Japan. The stories follow the human drama among the families there from various points of view.

Kodama's award-winning Sakamichi no Apollon (Kids on the Slope) manga ended in January. The manga inspired a television anime series on Fuji TV's late-night Noitamina programming block this past spring, and Crunchyroll streamed the anime into several countries as it aired in Japan.

Kodama launched a Kids on the Slope spinoff titled Sakamichi no Apollon: Bonus Track in March. The spinoff wrapped after five chapters, and its compiled volume will go on sale on November 9.
