posted on by Andrew Osmond
Pre-registration closes at the end of today (Monday); September Alcon registration also open.

The next London Anime Con will take place on Saturday February 9 and Sunday February 10 at the regular venue of The Rocket Complex (166 Holloway Road, near the Holloway Road underground station), venue details here.

The program of events is available here. The convention comments that it is trying to push up Sunday attendance, by offering lower entry prices and putting major events on Sunday, including the Cosplay Masquerade at 4 p.m.

Pre-paying closes at the end of Monday (February 3) - registration is here, costing £16 for the whole event, other discounts available.

The dub actress Caitlin Glass is Guest of Honour (details).

As the lower level of the Rocket Complex is a licensed bar, the event is restricted to attendees aged 18 and older. An ID with proof of age is required - see FAQ.

On the door tickets are £12 for Saturday and £10 for Sunday. An evening pass from 6 p.m. is £5 on the door. Regarding on the door entry, the event says, 'We cannot guarantee entry, but we will always make a front-page announcement if it looks likely we are going to sell out.'

The event is run by AnimeLeague, which also runs the Alcon conventions at De Montfort University in Leiceseter. Registration for the 2013 Alcon, running from September 5 to 8, has just opened on the site.
