StudioCanal's Plans for Ghibli's Poppy Hill, Kiki and Grave

Poppy Hill provisionally planned for July cinema release; Kiki confirmed for May DVD/Blu-ray Double-play.

A representative of StudioCanal told ANN the following:

- From Up On Poppy Hill (pictured) is provisionally planned for a UK cinema release in July, although the details are still to be confirmed. The film was previously listed on a StudioCanal press release in January. The release gave the names of the dub actors confirmed for the American version of the film, including Gillian Anderson, Jamie Lee Curtis, Beau Bridges, Christina Hendricks, Ron Howard, Chris Noth, Aubrey Plaza and Anton Yelchin.

- Kiki's Delivery Service is confirmed for a 'Blu-ray and DVD' double play release on May 27, as listed on Amazon UK. The 1989 Hayao Miyazaki film features the adventures of a 13 year-old witch, as she tries to make an independent life in a beautiful European city.

- Grave of the Fireflies is provisionally planned for a Double Play release on the same date as Kiki, although this is still to be confirmed and the release may move back to a later date. The film is a tragic drama about two young children trying to survive in Japan in the last months of World War II. The Double Play edition is presently listed here on Amazon.
