The fantasy story involves a ten year-old girl, Chihiro, who finds herself trapped in a world of Japanese gods and monsters. The screening is part of the Herne Hill Free Film Festival.

According to the festival site:

History will be made in Brockwell Park with our free screening of Spirited Away (123 mins) on Saturday 18 May at 8.30pm - the first ever full-length outdoor screening of a film in its grounds. The film will be screened by the cafe on top of the hill. Spirited Away is arguably the most important Japanese animated film made by Studio Ghibli, will be the 'jewel in the crown' of the Herne Hill free film festival 2013 programme. This is an outdoor event so bring whatever you need to stay warm and dry. Full details to follow.
