Black Rock Shooter, Mayo Chiki!, Blu-ray Streetfighter II Released Monday (Updated)

Plus Season Seven of Dragon Ball Z and Season Ten of Bleach.

Manga Entertainment will release the Complete Series set of Black Rock Shooter (right) on DVD on Monday May 13. In the series, Mato Kuroi is a junior high school girl who dreams of a fantasy world where female warrirors battle each other, including the Black Rock Shooter. The series was originally shown as part of Fuji TV's Noitamina slot with Shinobu Yoshioka (Black Rock Shooter (OAV)) directing the series using scripts by Mari Okada (anohana, Hourou Musuko) at Ordet/SANZIGEN. Yusuke Yoshigaki (Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt, Gurren Lagann) was the chief animation director and adapted huke's original character designs for animation. Hiroyuki Imaishi (Gurren Lagann, Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt) directed the CG battle sequences.

MVM Entertainment will release Mayo Chiki! as a Complete Collection DVD (pictured left). The series adapts Hajime Asano's school romantic comedy light novels of the same name. In the story, Subaru Konoe is a beautiful boy who serves as a butler to a classmate named Kanade Suzutsuki. However, another boy accidentally discovers Subaru's secret — Subaru is really a girl. Keiichiro Kawaguchi (Hayate the Combat Butler, Mayo elle Otokonoko) directed the project at the anime studio feel. with series script supervisor Reiko Yoshida (K-ON!, Chu-Bra!!) and character designer Kōsuke Kawamura. The series premiered in Japan in July 2011.

Manga Entertainment will release a Blu-ray (not DVD) edition of the 1994 feature film Street Fighter II: The Movie (right). Directed by Gisaburō Sugii (Night on the Galactic Railroad), it is based on the classic CAPCOM combat game.

Finally, Manga will also release the Complete Season Seven DVD of Dragon Ball Z, carrying the next 25 episodes of the series, and the Complete Series 10 of Bleach, carrying episodes 190 to 212.
