Denver's Nan Desu Kan to Host English Dub Premiere of Fairy Tail Film

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Film with original story by Hiro Mashima to screen at convention in September.

The organizers of Denver's Nan Desu Kan convention revealed last Tuesday that the convention will host the English dub premiere of the Fairy Tail the Movie: Phoenix Priestess (Fairy Tail: Hōō no Miko) film.

The film revolves around a mysterious girl named Éclair who appears before Fairy Tail, the world's most notorious wizard's guild. She lost all of her memories, except for the imperative that she must deliver two Hōōseki (Phoenix Stones) somewhere. The stones may spell the collapse of the magical world, and Natsu, Lucy, and the rest of the Fairy Tail guild are caught up in the intrigue. Hiro Mashima, the creator of the original Fairy Tail manga, was in charge of story planning and visual design for the film's all-new plot, and he also drafted the guest character designs and image concept art. The film opened in Japan last August, and Funimation announced last July that it licensed the film for a home video release.

The convention will be held at the Marriott DTC from September 13-15.
