"Voice actor casting game" starring Ayana Taketatsu, Kikuko Inoue, Tsubasa Yonaga, Shigeru Chiba to ship in 2014

Namco Bandai Games has revealed that it is developing the CV: Casting Voice game for the PlayStation 3. The "voice actor casting game" is slated to ship next year.

In the game, players play as a voice actor producer, and will work to cast voice actors for anime and dramas. Players will also serve as sound directors to provide direction and guidance to the voice actors during recording. The game has a "producer mode" and a "casting mode."

The game will feature more than 40 different fictitious voice actors, from rookies to veterans in the industry.

Ayana Taketatsu will play Saaya Uchiyama (pictured second from left), a 20-year-old woman who, despite her intelligent looks, is actually an indoors type who seems like a shut-in. She is a spoiled child who lives with her older brother, and has wanted to become a voice actress since she watched anime on TV as a child.

Kikuko Inoue will play Kumiko Jūjō (pictured second from right), an idol voice actress who is calm and composed. She is good at any character she plays, including boys and villains, and is the leader of the "19-year-old faction" of voice actors.

Tsubasa Yonaga will play Yukihiko Himeno (pictured far left), a 20-year-old rookie voice actor who plays "cute-type" characters. He is a cheerful and innocent mood-maker. As a child, he was called "cute" often, and in order to capitalize on his talents, he is chose the road of a voice actor.

Shigeru Chiba will play Shū Michiba (pictured far right), a 54-year-old voice actor who is cheerful and droll, but also has a strict side. He voices many lead roles in gag anime, and used to be an actor.

Crafts & Meister is handling the planning and producing the game.

Famitsu is currently hosting several screenshots from the game.
