Anime of female-oriented dating simulation game premieres at 2:30 p.m. ET this Saturday

Media distribution service Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will stream La Corda d'Oro Blue Sky anime series as it airs in Japan. The show will premiere for subscription members at 2:30 p.m. ET this Saturday, April 5. The stream will be available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Iceland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Central and South America, and the Caribbeans.

The anime adapts KOEI Tecmo Games' Kin-iro no Corda 3 (La Corda D'Oro 3) dating simulation. The game follows a girl named Kanade and her relationships with the orchestra members and the other boys at her school.

The game franchise already inspired a television anime series in 2006, and a television special sequel, La Corda D'Oro ~secondo passo~, aired in spring of 2009. Sentai Filmworks licensed and released the series on DVD in North America, and Crunchyroll streamed both anime. Kure also adapted the first Kin-iro no Corda game into a manga, and Viz Media published the 17th and final volume of the original La Corda d'Oro manga in North America last May.
