Armored Core/Dark Soul Producer Hidetaka Miyazaki to Lead From Software

Video game developer From Software announced producer Hidetaka Miyazaki will lead the company as president beginning on Wednesday. Miyazaki joined From Software in 2004 and directed the Armored Core For Answer and produced Dark Soul and other video games.
Former president and CEO Naotoshi Jin will stay with the company as the senior advisor. Kadokawa acquired 80% of the game maker From Software and made the smaller company a subsidiary as of Wednesday.
From Software developed the Armored Core franchise, the Dark Souls franchise, the Tenchu franchise, and other popular game titles for consoles and portable systems. It was established on November 1, 1986, and it has 268.5 million yen (about US$2.6 million) in capital. As of October 2013, it has 230 employees.
