Minami Takayama guest stars in OVA bundled with Hiroshi Fukuda's 15th manga volume

Shogakukan began streaming a promotional video on Wednesday for the original video animation (OVA) episode that will be bundled with Hiroshi Fukuda's 15th Jōjū Senjin!! Mushibugyō action manga volume on July 18.

The story will follow Jinbei and his friends when they return to Edo. There, they meet Torakichi (voiced by Minami Takayama), a boy who wants to become a warrior in order to protect his younger siblings and family.

The cast will be returning from the TV anime, with Kenn as Jinbee, Takuma Terashima as Mugai, Rumi Ookubo as Hibachi, Takuya Eguchi as Shungiku Koikawa, Yū Serizawa as Tenma Ichinotani, Mamoru Miyano as Kotori Matsunohara, Megumi Han as Mushibugyō, and Satomi Akesaka as Haru.

The limited edition of the 15th manga volume with the OVA will ship on July 18, and will retail for 3,200 yen (about US$32).

The original manga is set in Edo-era Tokyo in the early 1700s. The eighth shogun Tokugawa Yoshimune creates a new magistrate unit — Mushibugyō — to protect the people in the heart of the city from giant insects or "Mushi." Each member is a specialist with unique fighting skills.

The manga already inspired a television anime last year, and Crunchyroll streamed this anime series as it aired in Japan.
