Kyo Hatsuki to Start Jun-ai Junkies Manga

New manga by Inu-Neko/Sadon-Desu author not a sequel to Love Junkies

Manga artist Kyo Hatsuki announced on Twitter on Wednesday that she will launch a new series titled Jun-ai Junkies (Pure Love Junkies) in Akita Shoten's Young Champion on June 23. She confirmed that the new series is not a continuation of her previous erotic comedy series, Love Junkies (Ren-ai Junkies), but that she would like to include some of the Love Junkies characters in the new series at some point.

Hatsuki launched Love Junkies in Young Champion in 2000, and Akita Shoten published the 26th and final compiled volume in 2009. Hatsuki's other previous series include Cross and Crime and Inu-Neko, the latter of which was adapted into a live-action film. Hatsuki also collaborated with Gainax on the four-panel manga series Sadon-Desu. Gainax had revealed at Tokyo International Anime Fair in 2013 that it has plans to create an anime adaptation of Sadon-Desu, and Hatsuki herself said an anime adaptation of the manga would "probably" be green-lit for 2014.
