Voice Actress Minami Tsuda Underwent Apendicitis Surgery

Voice actress Minami Tsuda confirmed on Sunday that she had undergone surgery for acute apendicitis. She added that she is fine now, and is even eating a lot. She also mentioned that she is getting better by the day. She apologized for the worry and trouble she caused for those around her and thanked her many fans who expressed their worry and concern.
Tsuda already recovered enough to attend the "Nihon Sengoku 47 Todōfuken Fureai Project" (All-Japan 47-Prefecture Meet-and-Greet Project) event for the Wake Up, Girls! anime on Saturday. For the event, she and various cast members visited the stores in the Animate chain. She in particular joined Airi Eino (pictured far right in photo) for a talk event at the store in Sendai, the setting of the anime.
At the event, Tsuda received a cake for her birthday, which is actually on June 8. The staff also drew her messages on a whiteboard, erected a birthday sign, and made her an honorary staff member.
Tsuda's numerous credits include Megumi Yoshikawa in Wake Up, Girls!, Onihime in Momo Kyun Sword, Yui Ichii in Yuyushiki, Sasara in Fantasista Doll, Iori Watanuki in Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Karin Shijimi in Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future, Yui Funami in YuruYuri, Phryne in Fractale, and Iris's Kibago in Pokémon: Black and White.
