Singer of Toriko's 4th ending theme premieres her song "Junjō" on condensed version of DBZ in July

This year's 30th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump is announcing on Monday that musical artist Leo Ieiri (Toriko's fourth ending theme) will perform the new ending theme for Dragon Ball Z Kai. The 19-year old artist will have her new song “Junjō” (Innocence) featured as the second ending theme of the anime beginning in July. The song will be featured on Ieiri's seventh single, which is scheduled to ship in Japan on July 30.

Dragon Ball Z Kai (known as just Dragon Ball Kai in Japan) condenses the 1989-1996 Dragon Ball Z anime series to more closely follow Akira Toriyama's Dragon Ball manga. The series features digital high-definition remastering, a re-recorded soundtrack, and select scenes updated with new effects or re-animated footage. The 2009-2011 run of Dragon Ball Z Kai covered from the Saiyan Saga to the Android Cell Saga.

The "new age of Kai" began on April 6 in Japan, and it is covering the Majin Buu Saga arc with more episodes. Animation studio Toei's Europe branch lists the new Dragon Ball Z Kai run as 69 episodes and the "closing chapter" of the series. Cartoon Network's Toonami block will begin airing the series this fall.
