Vertical Adds Collection of Satoshi Kon's Short Stories

North American manga publisher Vertical announced at Anime Expo on Friday that it has licensed Yume no Kaseki, a collection of Satoshi Kon's short stories. Vertical will release the book under the title Satoshi Kon's Complete Short Stories - Dream Fossil.
The 440-page trade paperback will collect 15 short manga stories by the late director. The book will include works from Kon during his teenage years as well as works that helped launch his career. One of the stories, "Toriko," won the award for new artists at the 10th annual Tetsuya Chiba awards in 1984. Kodansha originally released the collection in Japan in 2011.
Vertical will release the collection in summer 2015 for US$24.95.
Vertical has previously published Kon's Tropic of the Sea manga. Dark Horse Comics will release Kon's OPUS and Seraphim: 266613336 Wings manga as well as an artbook.
