Both comedy anime series premiered today

Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will stream the second seasons of Ai Mai Mi (Choboraunyopomi Gekijō Dainimaku Ai Mai Mi: Mōsō Catastrophe) and Strange+ (Sin Strange Plus).

Ai Mai Mi season two will broadcast on Thursdays starting on July 10 at 2:00 p.m. EDT for premium members and one week later for free members. The stream will be available worldwide outside of Japan.

The series, which adapts Choboraunyopomi's four-panel manga, follows girls in a manga club — Ai, Mai, Mī, and Ponoka-sempai — who might be fighting evil invaders threatening Earth, facing off against rivals in tournaments, and dealing with other absurd situations when they are not drawing manga.

The cast and main staff will remain unchanged from the first season. Yuka Ōtsubo voices Ai of the manga research club, Aya Uchida voices Mai, Maaya Uchida voices Mī, and Ai Kayanovoices Ponoka-sempai. Seitarō Mukai of the comedy duo Tenshin, who played the narrator in season 1, is now listed as "the others?" on the cast page.

Itsuki Imazaki (Beyblade the Movie: Fierce Battle, episode director for Divergence Eve, Haibane Renmei) is again directing the anime, writing the scripts, designing the characters, and overseeing the animation production. The studio Seven is again producing the anime. In the new season, Hatori Fūga (studioCHANT) will be in charge of music at Dax Production with sound director Kengo Kawazoe.

Strange+ season two will stream on Thursdays at 2:30 p.m. EDT starting on July 10 for premium members and one week later for premium members. The stream will be available worldwide outside of Japan.

Crunchyroll describes the series:

Based on an original manga written and illustrated by Beruno Mikawa, Strange+ Season 2 is a comedic mystery focused on a boy named Kou who joins his brother's detective agency. Hilarious hijinks ensue with every new client that books them.

The first season's character designer Hiroyuki Furukawa is returning as the series director for the second season.

Crunchyroll streamed the first seasons of both shows as they aired.
