2nd season adapting Shungiku Nakamura's manga premiered in 2008

The wrap-around band around the 18th compiled volume of Shungiku Nakamura's Junjō Romantica (Innocent Romantic) boys-love manga is announcing on Thursday that a third season of the television anime adaptation of the manga has been green-lit. The 17th volume of the manga had listed last year that the manga had more anime in the works, but did not specify the variety.

The manga already inspired two anime seasons in 2008, and Right Stuf licensed both for North America.

The second Sekai Ichi Hatsukoi anime series included an adaptation of Nakamura's Junjō Romantica manga spinoff Junjō Mistake, and there was also a Junjō Romantica original video anime in 2012. An original video animation volume of Nakamura's one-shot Hybrid Child is also in the works.
