Metal Gear Solid V Games Coming to PC via Steam

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Exact release date has yet to be announced

Konami announced at Gamescom 2014 that both Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: Phantom Pain will be released for PC via Steam. Ground Zeroes will be released first, but series creator Hideo Kojima stated that exact release dates cannot be announced yet.

Snake's iconic decoy box with the Steam logo will be included as an in-game item.

Metal Gear Solid V consists of two separate games: Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes provides the backstory behind the events in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes already debuted on consoles in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Europe in March.

Kiefer Sutherland plays the role of Snake in the games produced and directed by Hideo Kojima. Yoji Shinkawa serves as character and mechanical designer, Hideki Sasaki as CG art director, Junji Tago as technical director, and Masayuki Suzuki as lighting artist.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain features Snake after he wakes up from a nine-year coma. Snake has lost a lot of his abilities, and must crawl through a hospital to escape.
