Hiroyuki Ohashi's manga short story series City Lights will get a live-action film adaptation titled Chōnōryoku Kenkyū-bu no 3-nin (ESP Research Club's 3 Members) on December 6 from Match Point. The film will star three members of the Nogizaka46 idol group: Manatsu Akimoto, Erika Ikuta, and Nanami Hashimoto.

Nobuhiro Yamashita (live-action Cream Lemon) will direct the film off scripts by Shinji Imaoka and Kōsuke Mukai. Shunsuke Kida is composing the music.

Kodansha published the original series of shorts into three compiled volumes in 2011 and 2012. The stories follow the daily lives of various people, such as high school girls in an ESP research club or a good-for-nothing teacher at a school for spies. Ohashi's previous short manga "Ongaku" received an animated film adaptation.
