The anime's official website announced that the film will include a new Training Corps scene with Eren and Jean that did not air in the original television anime.

Linked Horizon will return to perform the opening theme song "Guren no Zahō" (Crimson Coordinates). The television anime's composer Hiroyuki Sawano is in charge of the ending theme and insert music.
