Haikyu!! Anime's 3DS Game's New Promo Narrated by Hinata

Game based on volleyball anime will ship in Japan on September 25

Bandai Namco Games began streaming a new promotional video for its Haikyu!! Tsunage! Itadaki no Keshiki!! (Haikyu!! Connect! View From the Top!!) game for the Nintendo 3DS on Saturday. The video is narrated by Karasuno's Shōyō Hinata (Ayumu Murase).

Hinata: Ooh! Ooh! Pick me! Can I go next? I want to talk a little bit about the stories of the six protagonists. Ah, but I'll do a simple explanation. And really fast...
Hinata: First, it's me. I'll do my best to aim to become the "little giant"! I'll win at the nationals, and also win against Kageyama!
Hinata: Kageyama's story really makes him look like a king. Ah, don't glare at me!
Hinata: In captain's story, a lot of upperclassmen show up, and I felt the power of bonds in it! Being captain is tough, huh.
Hinata: In Sugawara's story, I felt that there's strength waiting when you overcome a lot of things. I want to be taught a lot of different things by Sugawara.
Hinata: I learned a lot of things about when I was in middle school, like the match with Date Tech High. Asahi really is the ace of Karasuno High! I definitely look up to him.
Hinata: I knew that Noya had a lot of problems, too, but I'm really glad he returned! Huh? This is turning into my own opinions!
Text: Anyway, play it!
Hinata: Anyway, all my upperclassmen and the others are super cool! "Haikyu!! Connect! View From the Top!!" Please waaaaat- I mean play!
Text: The 3rd place member appears next time!

Fans voted on the top six characters to narrate each promo. Kei Tsukishima (Kōki Uchiyama), the sixth place winner, narrated the first promotional video.

The game will allow players to experience the world of Haikyu!! anime in two ways: the Adventure Mode and the Game Mode. In the Adventure Mode, depending on the character the player chooses to be the main character, the story may differ from the original manga and anime, as the game will include new plot points. The six choices are Shōyō Hinata, Tobio Kageyama, Daichi Sawamura, Kōshi Sugawara, Asahi Azumane, and Yū Nishinoya.

In Game Mode, the player will battle against their in-game rivals with the character they have powered-up through choosing a training menu. The strategies and in-game drama from the source material will also be included during matches.

The game will ship in Japan on September 25, and first copies of the game will come with a download code to redeem a "Haikyu!! Quest" mini-game. A limited edition "Hero on the Court Box" bundle will contain a tin case, six postcards, a special DVD containing cast comments and footage recreating the Haikyu!! Quest game, and a special art booklet will cost 7,600 yen (about US$76), while a normal copy of the game will retail for 5,690 yen (about US$57).

Production I.G's anime adaptation of Haruichi Furudate's Haikyu!! volleyball manga premiered in April. Sentai Filmworks has licensed the series for North American digital and home video release and Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs.

Update: Typo fixed. Thanks, Saeglopur25.
