Snake and Quiet co-op mission also previewed

Kojima Productions released a trailer for its upcoming Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain game for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC during Tokyo Game Show on Thursday. The trailer centers on the new character Quiet.

Text: Quiet. The Sniper With No Words.
Ocelot: Thermal!
Ocelot: Seize her.
Miller: Shoot her.
Ocelot: Miller! She saved Boss.
Miller: She only wanted to save herself. Shoot!
Snake: Put her in a cell.
Miller: Boss!
Snake: Don't take your eyes off her.
Ocelot: OK. Take her away. What's wrong? Hurry up!
Miller: Boss! This can't be undone. That woman—
Snake: Right. She knew this place. Sooner or later we'll have to kill her. But, not yet. It's not the time. When that time comes, I'll do it.

Kojima Productions also showcased a 20-minute gameplay demo during Konami's stage presentation which features Snake and Quiet together on a mission.

Hideo Kojima also teased a Metal Gear Collection 2014 on Twitter last week.

Metal Gear Solid V consists of two separate games: Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes provides the backstory behind the events in Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes already debuted on consoles in North America, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, and Europe in March. Both games will be released for PC via Steam in the future.

Kiefer Sutherland plays the role of Snake in the games produced and directed by Hideo Kojima. Yoji Shinkawa serves as character and mechanical designer, Hideki Sasaki as CG art director, Junji Tago as technical director, and Masayuki Suzuki as lighting artist.

Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain features Snake after he wakes up from a nine-year coma. Snake has lost a lot of his abilities, and must crawl through a hospital to escape.
