Red/Blue systems to ship standalone or with Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire

Nintendo announced on Tuesday that it will release two new Nintendo 2DS systems in "Transparent Red" and "Transparent Blue" to celebrate the launch of Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire in Europe.

The systems will ship alone on November 7, and again on November 28 as a bundle with the Pokémon games. The Transparent Red 2DS will ship with Omega Ruby pre-loaded onto a 4GB memory card, and the Transparent Blue 2DS will ship with Alpha Sapphire.

There is no word yet of a North American or Japanese release of the new transparent systems.

A demo version of Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire will be available in select stores in the United Kingdom on October 15. The new titles will remake the 2003 Game Boy Advance games Pokémon Ruby and Pokémon Sapphire. The games are slated to ship on November 28 in Europe and November 21 in Japan, North America, and Australia.
