Crunchyroll Adds Live-Action Nobunaga Concerto TV Series

Crunchyroll announced on Friday that it will stream the live-action Nobunaga Concerto television series, the second half of the Mushishi: The Next Chapter television anime, and the Hero live-action television series.
Crunchyroll began streaming the first episode of the live-action Nobunaga Concerto series at 2:00 a.m. ET on Friday. The television series is available in the United States, Canada, Central and South America including the Caribbean, European countries excluding Russia, South Africa, Australia, and New Zealand.
Crunchyroll describes the story:
Saburo, a high school student is flung back in time to the Sengoku Era. In the past, he meets a young, but sickly Oda Nobunaga, one of Japan's greatest warlords. Unable to shake Saburo's uncanny resemblance to himself, Nobunaga asks Saburo to take his place as war lord. Equipped with knowledge from the modern era, will Saburo be able to unite Japan?
Shun Oguri (Lupin III, Captain Harlock, Detective Conan, Hana Yori Dango, Space Brothers) plays the title warlord and his modern counterpart Saburō in the live-action series and also in the film. Kou Shibasaki (Dororo's titular character, Ōoku: The Inner Chambers's Yoshimune) plays the show's heroine Kichō, who is Oda Nobunaga's wife, and Takayuki Yamada (Crows Zero, Densha Otoko, Gantz) plays Kinoshita Tōkichirō/Toyotomi Hideyoshi. The cast also includes Osamu Mukai, Daisuke Fujigaya, Kaho, Naoto Fujiki, Gaku Hamada, and Masahiro Takashima.
The series premiered as part of Fuji TV's 55th anniversary project on October 13. Mr. Children performs the show's theme song. The Nobunaga Concerto anime premiered in July, and Crunchyroll streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
Crunchyroll will begin streaming the first episode of the latter half of the Mushishi: The Next Chapter anime, under the title Mushishi: The Next Passage Part 2, for premium members on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. ET. Free members can watch the episode one week later. The anime will be available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South America, Europe, Middle East, and Africa.

They are creatures only known as 'Mushi,' whose abilities range well into the supernatural. While their existence and appearances are unknown to the humans around them, there are a few like Ginko who is a ‘Mushi-shi’ that travels around to investigate and find out more about the 'Mushi.' During the course of his discovery and understanding, he helps those who are troubled by the Mushi themselves…
Mushishi: The Next Chapter (Mushishi: Zoku-Shō) reunites most of the staff from the first season, led by director and series script supervisor Hiroshi Nagahama. Cast members Yuto Nakano and Mika Doi are also reprising their roles as Ginko and the narrating voice.
The first half of the anime premiered in Japan on April 4. Crunchyroll and Daisuki streamed the series as it aired in Japan.
Crunchyroll plans to announce a streaming date and time for the Hero live-action television series soon. The series starring Takuya Kimura as Kōhei Kuryu premiered in Japan on July 14.
Kuryu is a former juvenile delinquent who works at the Josai branch of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutor's Office. He has maintained a casual appearance and distinctive behavior over 13 years of work as a prosecutor. Kuryu influences Chika Asagi (Keiko Kitagawa) as she works as a paralegal assistant.
Cast members returning from the first television series include Kadano Takuzo, Kohinata Fumio, Yashima Norito, Tanaka Yoji, and Bokuzo Masana. The original Hero live-action series, also starring Kimura, premiered in Japan in 2001. The Hero SP television special premiered in 2006, followed by a film in 2007.
