Anohana Team Teases New Original Film in Video

Staff to announce 2015 anime project's title on December 3

The official YouTube channel for Fuji TV's Noitamina programming block began streaming a teaser video on Saturday for the anohana (Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai.) and Toradora! anime staff's new film project. The completely new and original anime is slated to debut in 2015.

The video reveals that the staff will announce the original film's title at the Chichibu Yomatsuri (Chichibu Night Festival) on December 3. Before teasing the new project, the video reviews the team's work on the completed anohana Project. The teaser highlights the original anohana television anime that first aired in 2011, the film adaptation that opened in August 2013, and the "anohana Natsu Matsuri Final" (anohana Summer Festival Final) event that was held in Chichibu, Saitama this past August.

The anohana anime's official website announced the project in August and posted an image of an egg. The new film will be the anohana team's second project that focuses on a group of young people. Like the anohana anime, the story will be set in Chichibu.

Tatsuyuki Nagai (A Certain Scientific Railgun, Waiting in the Summer) is again directing the film at the studio A-1 Pictures. Mari Okada (M3 the dark metal, Hana-Saku Iroha) is writing the script, and Masayoshi Tanaka (Highschool of the Dead, Joshiraku) is designing the characters.

Crunchyroll streamed the original 11-episode anohana series online. NIS America released the anime on Blu-ray Disc and DVD under the title anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day in 2013. Aniplex of America also released the film adaptation in North America last year.
