Producer Harada instead opts for muscular, bald fighter for North American players

Tekken 7 producer Katsuhiro Harada wrote on Twitter that the recently announced new Tekken 7 character, Lucky Chloe, will not be available for North American players. The character is planned as an exclusive character for Europe and East Asia. Harada elaborated after a user Tweeted him, asking for an option to "delete any character you do not want to play against in Arcade battle like Lucky Chloe."

Harada said a different character will be available for North American players. He described the character as muscular and bald.

When one user remarked they would be upset if Lucky Chloe was not available for North American players, Harada responded "No, They [North American players] want just M.U.S.C.L.E. & Skinhead (with Gun or MMA style) character (Of course I knew it ;))"

Bandai Namco Games revealed Lucky Chloe at its "Tekken 20th Anniversary Fan Thanksgiving event" on Sunday.

Lucky Chloe joins the previously announced new characters, Claudio and Katarina. Tekken 7 will utilize the Unreal Engine 4, and the new "Power Crash" and "Rage Arts" game systems. "Power Crash" will allow a counter attack in the middle of an opponent's attack. "Rage Arts" is a special power crash that can be invoked while in rage mode.

The arcade version ran a location test in early October and will began its second round of location testing on November 22 and 23 in select locations in Japan. The game is scheduled for release in February.
