Madman Entertainment's 12 Days of Christmas

Kamisama Kiss 2 (Kamisama Hajimemashita)

When Nanami finds herself homeless after her father leaves she ends up saving a strange man, Mikage, who in turn offers to let her stay over at his house — only to discover it is a Shinto shrine. And Mikage happened to be a deity who has just transferred his status and his yōkai to Nanami. That yōkai's name is Tomoe, and a contract between him and Nanami can only be sealed in one way, with a kiss.

Kamisama Kiss is adapted from Julietta Suzuki's original manga of the same name, the series has been published in Hakusensha's Hana to Yume shōjo magazine since March 2008 and 19 collected volumes have been published to date. Viz Media has been publishing the manga in North America and will publish volume 17 in March 2015.

The main cast from Kamasama Kiss season 1 will return including Shinnosuke Tachibana as Tomoe and Suzuko Mimori as Nanami Momozono. However Naoko Matsui will be replacing Natsuyo Arashi as the role of Onikiri.

Most of the staff returns for Kamisama Kiss 2 with Akitarō Daichi (Fruits Basket, Kodocha, Now and Then, Here and There) continuing to direct the anime at TMS Entertainment (Detective Conan, Lupin III). Junko Yamanaka (Detective Conan, KenIchi the Mightiest Disciple) returns to provide character designs and will be taking on a new role as Chief Animation Director. Also returning are art director Takashi Aoi (Xam'd: Lost Memories, Darker than Black) and composer Toshio Masuda (Mahoromatic - Automatic Maiden, Naruto).

Season 2 will begin airing in Japan on the 5th of January 2015. Pop singer Hanae will perform the opening theme "Kamisama no Kamisama" and the ending theme "Ototoi Oide" for the series.

The series already inspired a 13-episode television anime season and will soon recieve a stage play in March at the Tokyo Geijutsu Gekijō Playhouse.

Funimation streamed the series in North America as it aired in Japan and released the series to home video in February this year.

Madman Entertainment licensed the first series in June 2013 and the complete collection was released on DVD and Blu-ray in April this year. Madman distributes the Viz Media edition of Kamisama Kiss in Australia and New Zealand, you can view the released volumes on Madman.com.au. Madman are also the first company to announce licencing Kamisama Kiss 2 at the writing of this article.
