MangaGamer Launches eden* Visual Novel on Steam

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Adult version available on publisher website, pre-orders open for No, Thank You!!! boys-love game

Software publishing company MangaGamer announced on Tuesday that the all-ages version of eden* is now available for PC via Steam.

MangaGamer describes the story:

eden* is a tale set just before the apocalypse, after most of humanity has been evacuated to outer space. One of the few soldiers left on Earth, the expert sniper Ryou is assigned to a remote research facility to guard the most important person on a dying Earth. She is the engineer behind the spaceships that saved humanity, a genetically modified breed of human that possesses incredible intelligence: The supreme felix, Sion.

At this odd research facility, Ryou will encounter a polite, if at times suggestive maid, an outspoken and beautiful partner who -loves- using knives, and a major who he would just as soon kill due to their tragic past. What awaits Ryou in this place?

MangaGamer plans to release eden* on Steam with a goal of selling US$100,000 copies of the game. The profits earned from eden* will go directly into localizing the first chapter minori's Supipara - Alice the Magical Conductor visual novel. Customers can also purchase the eden* plus mosaic version with adult content on the publisher's official website.

The company is now accepting preorders for its first adult boys-love visual novel No, Thank You!!! by pa-rade. A demo version was released in November.

MangaGamer describes the story:

This long, yet fleeting, summer vacation begins with a car crash.

One day in June, as summer draws near, our protagonist protects a man from an out-of-control car, but gets hit and loses his memory in the process. The man our protagonist saved feels responsible for him, having no identification on him or any obvious leads as to his identity, and gives him a job.

He brings him to a little bar on the outskirts of downtown called 'sótano'. On the outside, it looks like a cozy little jazz bar, but it has another side to it.

They take on cases that the police and legitimate detective agencies won't touch. The staff there give our protagonist the name 'Haru,' and he gradually makes his way deeper into the organization while working as an apprentice bartender.

Pa-rade announced in 2013 that an original video anime (OVA) based on the game was in the works but no other details were announced.
