Digimon Fusion's 2nd Season to Premiere on Nicktoons in March

The official Twitter account for Digimon announced on Monday that the second season of Digimon Fusion (Digimon Xros Wars in Japan) will premiere on the Nicktoons Network on March 8.

The show's distributor, Saban, describes the series:

Digimon Fusion is the all-new animated series and sixth installment of the Digimon franchise, the longest-running Japanese anime property. The series will feature all-new Digimon action and excitement following Mikey, a human boy, who is transported into the digital realm and must team up with his new “Digimon” or “Digital Monster” friends before their world is deleted once and for all. New fusion powers allow Digimon to combine and fuse their abilities to create endless battle possibilities.

Digimon Xros Wars, the original name of the sixth Digimon television anime series, premiered in Japan in 2010, and its follow-up Digimon Xros Wars: Toki o Kakeru Shōnen Hunter-tachi premiered in October 2011. Crunchyroll streamed the first series and also streamed the second series as it aired in Japan.

Nicktoons ran the first season of Digimon Fusion in September 2013. It also briefly ran Digimon Adventure in June 2013, and Digimon Adventure 02 in August 2013. The new series Digimon Adventure tri. will premiere in Japan this spring.
