Tsuritama Released This Week

MVM is releasing the series tsuritama this week; on its twitter feed, the company said that it should be receiving stock on Tuesday (March 3), and Amazon later this week.
tsuritama is the latest project from director Kenji Nakamura (Ayakashi - Samurai Horror Tales, Mononoke, Kūchū Buranko, C; his later series Gatchaman Crowds is due for release frm Animatsu).
The story is set on the island of Enoshima in the Shōnan area south of Tokyo, and it follows four idiosyncratic youths: the uncommunicative high school student Yuki (Ryota Ohsaka), the self-proclaimed alien Haru (Miyu Irino), the island native Natsuki (Kōki Uchiyama), and the mysterious Akira (Tomokazu Sugita) with his constant duck companion TAPIOCA.
Yûichi Takahashi (Macross Frontier, Iron Vendetta) adapted the original character designs by Atsuya Uki (Cencoroll) and A-1 Pictures animated the project. The series screened on Fuji TV's late-night Noitamina timeslot in Japan.
