Hatsune Miku Designer KEI Ends Project Diva Manga

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Manga of virtual idol Hatsune Miku launched in July

The April issue of Kadokawa's Comptiq magazine published the last chapter of Hatsune Miku designer KEI's Hatsune Miku -Project Diva- Omnibus Comic manga series on Tuesday. In addition, the magazine also revealed that Kadokawa will publish the manga's compiled book volume on March 26.

KEI launched the manga in Comptiq magazine last July. "Sega feat. Hatsune Miku Project" supervised the project; Sega has been releasing the Hatsune Miku -Project Diva- series of rhythm games, which feature the music of Hatsune Miku and other Vocaloid virtual idols.

Besides designing the look of Hatsune Miku for Crypton Future Media, KEI designed Gonzo's anime Copihan and drew the accompanying manga. He also designed Straight Title Robot Anime, the television anime produced with the CG software MikuMikuDance. More recently, his anthropomorphized girl designs of Sega game hardware inspired the Sega Hard Girls anime and novel series.
