Anime Limited 'Ultimate Edition' in Q4 planned to include film, extended director's cuts
The latest podcast by Anime Limited includes the following details about its upcoming ‘Ultimate Edition’ of The Vision of Escaflowne on Blu-ray. It is planned for release in the fourth quarter of 2015.
- As well as the TV series, it will include the feature film version Escaflowne: The Movie aka A Girl in Gaea (an alternate-world story), both dubbed and subtitled.
- Re the ‘director's cut’ versions of the TV series, which added extra scenes and dialogue, Andrew Partridge of Anime Limited said he was thinking of releasing them as a bonus, in subtitled-only form.
Regarding other Anime Limited titles, Partridge confirmed that Samurai Flamenco will be released on Blu-ray.
