Update: Princess Kaguya U.K. Screenings

Isao Takahata's Oscar-nominated Ghibli film opens in UK cinemas today (Ireland next week)

Isao Takhata's Oscar-nominated Ghibli film The Tale of the Princess Kaguya opens in cinemas on Friday March 20 (March 27 in Ireland). Set in tenth-century Japan, it is about a tiny girl who emerges from a bamboo shoot, is adopted by a peasant couple, and then finds herself elevated to high society.

Studio Canal gave ANN a list of cinemas in the U.K. and Ireland which will show the film, although this list may still be expanded.

In Ireland, the Light House Dublin, the Irish Film Institute and Cineworld Dublin are due to screen the film from next week.
