Full Character Lineup Revealed for Puzzle & Dragons/Final Fantasy Collaboration

Characters from 1st Final Fantasy to Mobius Final Fantasy included in collaboration

The official website for GungHo Entertainment's Puzzle & Dragons smartphone puzzle action game revealed new character art on Friday, featuring the characters Zidane and Vivi from the Square video game Final Fantasy IX, as part of a planned collaboration between the Puzzle & Dragons and Square Enix's Final Fantasy game franchises. GungHo Entertainment previously revealed art for Cloud from Final Fantasy VIII and Yuna from Final Fantasy X alongside the announcement of the collaboration last February.

The website also revealed the full list of Final Fantasy franchise characters appearing in Puzzle & Dragons as part of the collaboration. GungHo Entertainment will slowly reveal illustrations of the characters over time. The following characters have been announced:

  • Chaos (Final Fantasy)
  • Emperor of Palamecia (Final Fantasy II)
  • Cloud of Darkness (Final Fantasy III)
  • Zeromus (Final Fantasy IV)
  • Neo Exdeath (Final Fantasy V)
  • Gilgamesh (Final Fantasy V)
  • Kefka (Final Fantasy VI)
  • Cloud Strife (Final Fantasy VII)
  • Squall Leonhart (Final Fantasy VIII)
  • Rinoa Heartilly (Final Fantasy VIII)
  • Zidane Tribal (Final Fantasy IX)
  • Vivi Ornitier (Final Fantasy IX)
  • Tidus (Final Fantasy X)
  • Yuna (Final Fantasy X)
  • Ace (Final Fantasy Type-0 HD)
  • Aemo (Final Fantasy Legends: Toki no Suishō)
  • Wol (Mobius Final Fantasy)

The website also mentions an unrevealed Final Fantasy VII character labeled only as "???."

GungHo Entertainment developed and released the puzzle action mobile game for iOS and Android devices in both North America and Japan.
