July 30 game's limited edition includes art book, music CD

The official website for 5pb.'s upcoming Corpse Party: Blood Covered …Repeated Fear Nintendo 3DS horror game announced on Wednesday that first-print copies of the game will include a download code for an extra chapter in the game, titled "Tokoyami no Hotaru" (Firefly of Eternal Darkness).

The chapter's description outlines the story:

"Yoshikazu attacks YOSHIKI with a hammer, hitting him on the head. On the verge of being murdered, Ōkawa Tomohiro appears and saves him. Both swear to survive and get out alive. But then, the ghost of a girl appears before them."

The website also announced the contents of the game's limited edition. It will include an art book for the game, as well as a CD that includes the game's theme song "Shangri-la" by Asami Imai, as well as two new pieces of music composed for the game.

The horror game is a port of the 2010 PlayStation Portable game Corpse Party. The upcoming 3DS version will include a new chapter from Team GrisGris' Makoto Keidōin and Sakuya Kamishiro.

The original Corpse Party from Team GrisGris followed of a group of high school students trapped in Heavenly Host Elementary, which is haunted by children who disappeared.

XSEED Games released the PSP version of the original Corpse Party game in North America and Europe, as well as the follow-up game Corpse Party: Book of Shadows. Xseed Games also announced last year that it will release the original Corpse Party game for PC, and 5pb. released an iOS port with Xseed's English translation last year.

5pb. released Corpse Party: Blood Drive, the final installment of the series storyline, in Japan last year.

The franchise has inspired several manga adaptations as well as the Corpse Party Missing Footage and Corpse Party: Tortured Souls -Bōgyaku Sareta Tamashii no Jukyō- video anime. Filming for a live-action movie based on the franchise began last month.

The game is slated for a July 30 release in Japan.
