Nadia Release Moved Back to June 22

Delay caused by 'unforeseen issues' during production

Animatsu has confirmed that its release of Gainax's science-fiction adventure anime Nadia - The Secret of Blue Water on DVD and Blu-ray will be on June 22. According to Animatsu, the delay was caused by 'unforeseen issues during the production process... This is Animatsu's first Collector's Edition release and they wanted to make it perfect for the fans.' The 39-episode series screened in 1990-1991.

The World's Fair, Paris, 1889: a young inventor crosses paths with an enigmatic girl and her pet lion. Suddenly they find themselves pursued by a villainous trio intent upon stealing the magical Blue Water. The staff featured director Hideaki Anno (Neon Genesis Evangelion, His and Her Circumstances), character designer Yoshiyuki Sadamoto (Royal Space Force - The Wings of Honnêamise, Evangelion, Summer Wars), sound director Katsunori Shimizu (Tegami Bachi: Letter Bee, Fushigi Yugi), and musical composer Shiro Sagisu (Magical Shopping Arcade Abenobashi, Evangelion).
