A-Kon to Host Production I.G President, CEO Mitsuhisa Ishikawa

Texas anime convention A-Kon announced on Friday that Production I.G founder Mitsuhisa Ishikawa will attend this year's event.
Ishikawa worked at Tatsunoko Productions after graduating from college. He founded anime studio Production I.G as the Tatsunoko Productions branch studio I.G Tatsunoko in 1987. Ishikawa is the current CEO and president of Production I.G
He produced anime including Ghost in the Shell and Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence, the first anime to receive a nomination at the Cannes International Film Festival. Ishikawa also served as executive producer for anime including Attack on Titan, Blood: The Last Vampire, Psycho-Pass, and Guilty Crown.
Ishikawa previously attended Anime Revolution in Vancouver in August 2014, and Anime Expo in Los Angeles in 2013.
A-kon will be held at Hilton Anatole Dallas from June 5 to June 7. Other guests will include Trina Nishimura, rock band 7!! ~seven oops~, Jake Tarbox, techno-pop band URBANGARDE, David Vincent, Caitlin Glass, Kristen McGuire, Bryce Papenbrook, Kyle Hebert, Tyson Rinehart, and J. Michael Tatum.
