2 acts to perform at Cool Japan Festival on July 4 at Club Nokia L.A. Live

Anime Expo announced on Saturday that it will host rock band Wagakki Band and Vocaloid diva IA at the "Anime Expo presents Cool Japan Festival" event on Saturday, July 4 at Club Nokia L.A. Live.

Wagakki Band, a group that combines rock with traditional Japanese instruments and features a vocalist who recites Japanese poetry, previously performed the opening and ending theme songs for the Sengoku Musou (Samurai Warriors) television anime series.

Vocaloid diva IA is Lia's Vocaloid character, who was revealed alongside Vocaloid3, the first major upgrade to YAMAHA's underlying vocal music synthesis software engine in four years. The Vocaloid3 software shipped in September 2011. IA and Kagerou Project creator and composer JIN's "Encore" concert screened in Los Angeles, New York City, and Seattle in December after she performed the concert at New York Comic Con in October.

The IA/VT -Colorful- rhythm game will ship for the PlayStation Vita on July 30.

Tickets for the concert start at US$50 and went on sale on Saturday.

Anime Expo will also host host voice actresses Tomoyo Kurosawa and Yumiri Hanamori, idol group Momoiro Clover Z along with members of American rock band KISS, manga artist Julietta Suzuki, Cannon Busters director LeSean Thomas, Satelight's Thomas Romain, light novel illustrator Luna Tsukigami, Higurashi no Naku Koro ni creator Ryukishi07, Guilty Gear game developer Daisuke Ishiwatari, and Spice & Wolf light novel author Isuna Hasekura.

This year's Anime Expo will be held at the Los Angeles Convention Center from July 2 to July 5.
