5pb. Develops My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU Video Game Sequel

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Company previously released 2013 PS Vita game based on Watari Watari's light novel series

5pb. Games has launched a website for a second video game based on Wataru Watari's Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru. (My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU) light novel series.

The text on the site reads, "'Yahari Ore no Seishun Love-Come wa Machigatte iru - Zoku-' Game Adaptation Start!" The original Japanese title of the My Teen Romantic Comedy SNAFU TOO! television sequel anime series was also titled Yahari Ore no Seishun Love-Come wa Machigatte iru - Zoku-.

The website notes that the release date, price, and game device have not yet been decided.

5pb. previously released the Yahari Game demo Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru (Even Though It's a Game, My Youth Romantic Comedy Is Wrong, As I Expected) PlayStation Vita game (pictured at right) in September 2013.

Watari's romantic comedy revolves around an antisocial high school student named Hachiman Hikigaya with a distorted view on life and no friends or girlfriend. When he see his classmates talking excitedly about living their adolescent lives, he mutters, "They're a bunch of liars." When he is asked about his future dreams, he responds, "Not working." A teacher gets Hachiman to join the volunteer "service club," which happens to have the school's prettiest girl, Yukino Yukinoshita.

The light novel series received a television anime in 2013, and a video anime that was bundled with the PS Vita game. A second television anime season premiered in April.

Sentai Filmworks licensed both television anime series. The company released the first series on DVD last year and plans to release the first series on Blu-ray Disc in September.

Crunchyroll streamed the first season as it aired and is currently streaming the second season.
