Meiji Era Ace Attorney Game's 'Hokkaido' Video Streamed

Dai Gyakuten Saiban -Naruhodō Ryūnosuke no Bōken- ships on July 9

CAPCOM began streaming the "Hokkaido" video for its upcoming Dai Gyakuten Saiban -Naruhodō Ryūnosuke no Bōken- (Great Turnabout Trial: The Adventures of Ryūnosuke Naruhodō) Nintendo 3DS game. CAPCOM previously showed the video in a store trial event last month.

In the video, Ryūnosuke Naruhodō, the game's protagonist, and Sherlock Holmes, a featured character in the game, discuss the famous jingisukan Hokkaido dish. Holmes, puzzled at how lamb meat is connected to Genghis Khan (for whom the dish is named), proposes that Hokkaido citizens instead name the dish "Holmes," to celebrate the game.

In the game, Phoenix Wright's ancestor Ryūnosuke comes to London and meets Sherlock Holmes. The game stars Hiro Shimono (Tonari no Seki-kun, Baka and Test - Summon the Beasts) as Ryūnosuke, Kana Hanazawa (Tonari no Seki-kun, Kobato.) as Susato, and Misaki Kuno (Galilei Donna, Selector Spread Wixoss) as Iris.

The game is the newest entry in the Ace Attorney franchise, and it will ship for the Nintendo 3DS in Japan on July 9.

CAPCOM previously streamed a video introducing game protagonist Ryūnosuke Naruhodō. The official website also revealed details on the game's regular edition and limited edition in April.

Original franchise developer Shu Takumi is participating in the game as the director, and he emphasized that while this game is not part of the numbered Ace Attorney series, it is also not a side story. Shintaro Kojima serves as the game's producer.
