Chocolate maker offers prizes before The Anthem of the Heart film's Septemer 19 opening

The food maker Meiji posted two versions of its second Kokosake and anohana collaboration TV ad on Sunday. The company is holding a "Meiji x Kokosake & anohana Receipt Drawing Campaign" from June 2 to October 16 to commemorate the September 19 opening of The Anthem of the Heart (Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterun Da. or Kokosake) film. The anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day (Ano Hi Mita Hana no Namae o Boku-tachi wa Mada Shiranai.) and Toradora! anime staff are making this original anime, and anohana's Menma character sings Meiji Chocolate's theme song in the campaign's new "Running Jun" commercial:

Text: Make Tomorrow More Delicious. Meiji
Menma: Chocolate, chocolate, chocolate is Meiji
Text: Youth isn't so sweet.
Jun: Um... do you want to eat together?
Text: So you want to eat some chocolate.
Menma: …Chocolate is Meiji
Menma: Kokosake & anohana campaign is underway!

The ads feature clips of Jun Naruse, the female lead of The Anthem of the Heart, running to talk to Takumi Sakagami.

Meiji posted the "Jun's Tears" commercial earlier this month.

In the campaign, Meiji is selling special packages illustrated with Kokosake's Jun and anohana's characters. Buyers can enter the codes in their receipts onto the campaign's website for a chance to win a prize. The prizes are 1,000 illustration collection books (with two covers for both Kokosake and anohana), each bundled with a set of two illustrated QUO cards:

The Kokosake film reunites staff members from the anohana and Toradora! anime. Tatsuyuki Nagai (A Certain Scientific Railgun, Waiting in the Summer) is again directing the film at the studio A-1 Pictures. Mari Okada (M3 the dark metal, Hana-Saku Iroha) is writing the script, and Masayoshi Tanaka (Highschool of the Dead, Joshiraku) is designing the characters. Like the anohana anime, the story of the new film will be set in Chichibu.

Aniplex of America announced in February that it has licensed the film. The film will open in Japan on September 19.
