Pop Group Perfume's 1st Film Chronicles 2014 World Tour

October 31 documentary to feature footage from "WORLD TOUR 3rd" & SXSW 2015 performances

The official website of Japanese pop group Perfume announced on Wednesday that a documentary film titled WE ARE Perfume -WORLD TOUR 3rd DOCUMENT will open in theaters throughout Japan on October 31. It is Perfume's first film.

The official website began streaming a teaser trailer for the documentary on Wednesday.

Perfume is a technopop group that formed in 2000, and consists of the members Yuka Kashino (Kashiyuka), Ayaka Nishikawa (A~chan), and Ayano Ōmoto (NOCCHi). The group released their latest album, Level3," in October 2013 and debuted in the number one spot in the Oricon's weekly album ranking chart in the week it was released, and sold 165,748 copies in its first week. They provided the theme song "Mirai no Museum" (Museum of the Future) for the 2013 Doraemon film, Doraemon: Nobita no Himitsu Dōgu Museum. They also provided the ending theme song "Hurly Burly" to Hiroyasu Ishida's "Fastening Days" anime short.

Taketoshi Sawatari is producing the documentary from footage shot during the group's "WORLD TOUR 3rd" tour, where the group performed in Taiwan, Singapore, the United Kingdom, and the group's first concerts in the United States. The documentary will include footage from the group's performance in SXSW 2015 in Austin, Texas in March. It will also include interviews with each member of the group.
