Kyō no Asuka Show's Taishi Mori Writes One-Shot for Grand Jump

posted on by Karen Ressler
Story about finding a high school girl abandoned on the roadside debuted last week

Manga artist Taishi Mori announced last Tuesday that he wrote a one-shot for this year's 17th issue of Shueisha's Grand Jump magazine, which shipped on Wednesday.

The one-shot is titled "Naa-tan to Goshujin-tama." In the story, the main character is on the way back home from being rejected by a girl when he finds and picks up a high school girl who has been abandoned on the roadside.

Mori's 2009-2013 manga, Kyō no Asuka Show, inspired an original web anime adaptation. Mori began Kuchibiru ni Uta o (A Song to Your Lips), a manga adaptation of Eiichi Nakata's original novel, in Shokakugan's Monthly Shonen Sunday (Gessan) in 2013 and ended the series last year. A film adaptation of the manga opened in theaters in February.
