Gunpla Builders World Cup 2015 Australia Contest Winners Announced

The winners of the Australian round of the Gundpla Builders World Cup 2015 were announced on Saturday the 8th of August 2015 at the Sydney Manga and Anime Show and presented by Gunpla modeller Katsumi Kawaguchi. The event was organised by Bandai, Hobbyco and SMASH.

The Gundpla Builders World Cup (GWBC) is held to determine the greatest gunpla builder by showing unique and inventive creations utilising Bandai's range of Gundam model kits.

GBWC 2015 was divided into two categories, Open and Junior with Open Category A being under 20 years old and Open Category B being 21 years and up. Two winners were selected for the grand prize of a trip to Japan to represent Australia in the Gundpla Builders World Championship Final for 2015. The two winners were as follows;

Congratulations to Wai Chai and Josh! The results for each category were as follows;

Open Category A

Ages 15 to 20 years old.

1st Place - Yukun Weng 2nd Place - Henry Hondros 3rd Place - Samuel Li

Open Category B

21 years old and above.

1st Place - Joshua Darrah 2nd Place - Lance Nguyen 3rd Place - Jerry Mac

Junior A

10 years old and below.

1st Place - Ruby Forsyth

Junior B

11 to 14 years old.

1st Place - Wai Chai Tam 2nd Place - Brendan James Bernerdino 3rd Place - Dennis
