Natsumi Ando's Haiji to Yamao Manga Ends

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Manga about girl becoming mountaineer launched in January

This year's 18th issue of Kodansha's Be Love magazine published the final chapter of Natsumi Ando's Haiji to Yamao (Haiji and the Mountaineer) manga series on Tuesday. The magazine also noted that Kodansha will publish the manga's third compiled book volume on October 13.

The manga' story centers on a woman named Haiji, whose eccentric grandfather has just passed away, and left her his mountain cabin. Her grandfather worked with a man named Kirishima, who didn't fit Haiji's image of mountaineers at all. Haiji plans to visit the mountain cabin, but finds difficulty with the unforgiving climb. Once she makes it, the sight she sees changes her, and she makes a decision.

Ando launched her Haiji to Yamao manga in Be Love magazine in January. Kodansha published the manga's second compiled book volume on August 12. Kodansha USA released Ando's Arisa manga after taking over several of publisher Del Rey's titles, as well as her Kitchen Princess manga. Kodansha USA released the 12th and final English volume of Arisa in January 2014. Del Rey also partially released Ando's Wild @ Heart manga, and Tokyopop released her Zodiac P.I. manga.

Ando launched Let's Dance a Waltz (Waltz no Ojikan) in Kodansha's Nakayoshi shōjo manga magazine in 2013, and Kodansha USA shipped the manga's third English volume on August 25.
