The staff of the musical adaptation of DMM's Tōken Ranbu online browser game revealed 16 more cast members for the musical on Thursday. The announcement did not mention the actors' roles.

The staff have also opened an official English website for the musical, noting that an English ticketing website will be available on September 19, and the performance itself will feature subtitle glasses with English, Korean, or Chinese subtitles.

The new cast members include:

The franchise is also getting a stage play adaptation. Marvelous (Yowamushi Pedal stage play) is adapting the game into a "straight play," while Nelke Planning (The Prince of Tennis, Vampire Knight musicals) is adapting it into a stage musical.

Nekle Planning, DMM.com, Nitroplus, and Euclid Agency are organizing the musical. Isamu Kayano (Tokyo Ghoul stage play) is directing, Chūji Mikasano (Tokyo Ghoul stage play) is writing the script, and Shinnosuke Motoyama (Vampire Knight stage play) is in charge of choreography.

The musical will host its trial run at the AiiA 2.5 Theater in Tokyo from October 30-November 8. Tickets go on sale on September 19 at 10:00 a.m.

The Tōken Ranbu "sword personification training game" takes famous swords from Japanese history and interprets them as bishōnen. Nitroplus designed the characters and scenario. The game launched in Japan this year, and it has more than 1 million users. The game has acquired a large female fanbase and inspired a wide range of merchandise, as well as several manga.
